The Hidden Gem: Liga MX

A common complaint with futbol is that people think it is boring, and that there are no goals.  While, this is false in general, no where does the false nature of this comment ring more true, than in Liga MX.

I recently noticed how underrated this league was after watching a video from the YouTube channel, Kick, called “Why Liga MX is the best league you aren’t watching”.  After seeing this, I decided to watch a few matches for myself.  I was not disappointed.  They were pretty high scoring, and I got to see a red card.  The only real problem you may find is there is a language barrier if you don’t speak Spanish.  Now, if you do choose to fully follow it, Kick states you’ll have to get through more barriers: weird relegation system, a split season, and a playoff style.  This all is worth it though as this league rewards it’s fans. Last year’s final included, as Kick puts it, “Four red cards, a huge brawl, and a 119th minute equalizer”.  This league can’t seem to fail at being interesting. If you haven’t seen a Liga MX match yet, then I highly recommend you give it a go.
